Space Derby

Korbin had his first derby! It was a space derby this year. All the scouts received a rocket kit at May's pack meeting and had to have it ready by June's pack meeting. Jason and Korbin had a blast making theirs.

We didn't know what to expect from Korbin's rocket, the only thing we wanted it to do was finish a race and not stop in the middle. He received first place the first time and second place the second time around. I was sweating bullets at the beginning of pack meeting because right before pack meeting as we were getting into the car I accidentally tore off the wings while I was handing the kids something. I felt awful. Jason and I super glued the wings as fast as we could and prayed it would be ok.

Korbin was done after the second round. He cracked me up when he told me the reason why. He didn't want his rocket to break anymore. After each run it would loose parts and would have to be put back together.

Korbin received a blue ribbon at the end of pack meeting and was happy the entire night hanging out with his dad and friends. It was a great night!
