Halloween again! Full of fun activities and candy. This year the kids enjoyed class parties at school, a fun activity we did with Crystal's family, candy, Halloween themed foods, games and we even scored nice weather on Halloween night.
Halloween in general this year was by far the lowest effort I've ever done. Costumes were bought weeks previous due to an early costume themed pack meeting. I didn't make costumes this year which was a time saver and so nice. The best part was the kids were happy just the same as previous years with costumes. Madison was a pink super hero and Korbin a black Ninja.
I am sad though I think we've missed the family theme costumes window. I almost had everyone on board this year but in the end it just wasn't happening.
One thing I am thankful for is enthusiastic friends!!! Halloween wouldn't have been the same without them. Our kids would have missed out on a lot. My friend Mariana called a few minutes before taking her kids trick or treating at her brother's work place right after school and invited us to tag along. Madison and I joined them. Madison scored a huge bag filled with candy in less than 1 hour.
On our way home Jason called to let me know Madison's friend McKenzie (a school friend) had called and asked if Mads could go trick or treating with her and her family. Jason and I agreed to let her go. Mads was thrilled! My friend Wendy also called to see if she could come down with her kids to trick or treat with us. It was great! Our night was planned out. I really was only planning on doing loop 1 with just Jason, myself and the kids.
It was a nice night outside for trick or treating so I'm glad the plan changed. We stayed out longer than what I had expected. We did loop 1 on the lower part of our neighborhood and then caught up with Malinda and her kids to do loop number 2 which was perfect! Jason went home to pass out candy and it was just Malinda, Wendy and I with all the kids for a while. All the kids were troopers!!!
I even humored my friends with the selection of candy I made this year. Teased to no end by Malinda,Wendy and Jason too! What can you expect for a last minute trip to Walgreens at 5:30 on Halloween night. Not the good candy! I'll make up for it with Christmas this year. I have it all figured out and I'm way ahead of the game.
Wendy also mentioned on Halloween it is time to have the three boys go out by themselves next year. That was hard for me to hear! I'm trying to convince myself that I can come up with great ideas of why we should go with them before next Halloween. I have a whole year to plan that out!

Sister Sister
I love my sister dearly but we're very different in so many ways...for example.
She had been talking about going bungee jumping for a while. I knew she would do it!
And she did it! We'll sort of. She freaked out at the very last second and as she described this event, she swears she slipped on attempt number #3 and that's why she jumped.
Gotta love my sister!!! I laughed so hard when she told me. I guess we're not so different after all when it comes to jumping off a bridge. Wish I could have been there to see it. I guess we'll still have a few things in common like owning the same clothes at times. Yes! I own that same shirt she is wearing and somewhere I have a picture of us wearing it on the same day. We blame it on my mom dressing us a lot alike growing up. :)
