Madison is '8'

Madison is '8'!!!!
This year Madison had a fun friend birthday party.

Date: her birthday!
Time frame: 3.5 hrs (including drive time)
Place: Classic Fun Center
Guest list: 15 kiddos
(grown ups: Dena. Ryan. Jason. Tosha. Jason. Claudy)
Vehicles required: 2 Suv's and Jason's car.
Entertainment: Bounce house, a little scooter action on the skating rink, jungle gym thing, lazer tag, food plus cake.
 Outcome: Maddie loved it!

All the kids had fun and went home with bright red faces from playing so hard by the end of the night.

The parents with their youngest monkey!

The girls waiting for laser tag.
 waiting...
 Still waiting.

Korbin had some fun hanging out with Jake and Henry.
Made it in.

Once inside the girls went wild.
Some of the girls got a little competitive and found good hiding places.

 So tired...
Marina's light up shoes cracked me up. I always knew where she was.
My favorite picture of the day...
laser tag was the hit of the party!
 The gang!

Tosha and I. Tosha is one of a kind friend who is always there to support my crazy ideas. This time it included her new car with 8 kids in it. She means a lot to our little family.

 Maddie and her cupcakes.

Mads friend Elise is a trooper. She wasn't feeling well but she made it all the way through. I have a whole new level of respect for her.

After presents we lined the guests up, counted them up and loaded them up and took them home.

There was one more surprise on the way but Mads wasn't feeling well so she went to bed early.

 Surprise!!! Aunt Sio came up.

The every last present of the night. An outfit for her doll.

Happy Birthday Maddie. We love you!

Date

Jason and I took advantage on being able to go on an all day date in SLC last Saturday and leave the kiddos at home with Sio, a car and some pizzas money.
We did a little bit of everything in Salt Lake! We hit a few animal shelters in search for a puppy. We didn't have any luck in finding a pup however I did learn that Jason is a sucker for puppies. Doesn't really matter the bread just any puppy. I'm a sucker for a Bichon (ever since our California trip with Shasta). Jason is a large dog lover and puppy lover, I'm a small/medium dog lover, Korbin doesn't particularly care and Madison has to have a hypo-allergenic dog...really! Maybe someday we'll agree/get a dog.
I went to Amity (aka my creative SLC expert on the hot spots to shop at) on Friday evening and copied her SLC list and asked for her expertise. Her list took us to some really cool stores. Jason found these cool magnets in one of them. Vintage Kraft Magnets, how awesome is that(probably not to many but to us it was)!
We also had our first taste of Peruvian food. My sister always raved about Paruvian food. She was right it was heavenly!
We had a great time!!!!

Korb the Bear

Pack meeting was pretty sweet for Korbin last night. He received his Bear patch, had a great time playing some games with friends and also had a rice crispy treat! Does it get much better than that?
Most of the credit for this patch goes to his den leaders (thanks Malinate). Korbin still enjoys scouts. He'll be sewing his new patch on his scout shirt himself. Those patches are tricky and a pain to sew on straight. Maybe he'll have better luck than mom.
