Bear Lake

We went to beautiful Bear Lake for a few days to get away. We wanted to go somewhere and recharge our batteries. A baptism takes a lot out of a family and since Jason had another week off (week number 3 of the year) from work we wanted to do something special for ourselves.
We didn't do much after arriving and settling in, we just ate dinner and relaxed.

Not one of us slept well during the night and you could tell in the morning. During breakfast we managed to get some ideas for the days activities and hoped the rain wouldn't put a huge damper on them. It turned out to be a really fun day, we did silly things and enjoyed each others company. We went to visit the Minnetonka cave which turned out to be very cool. We then found some camp spots we want to try out this year.
When you're so close to Paris why not stop by and so we did. There isn't much there.
Funny Story...after we finished looking at camp spots we stopped at a place called Blue Springs. It's nothing fancy just nice to look at. Anyway Sio thought it would be so funny to take pictures while pretend to fall into the pond . Everyone had fun and loved it.
At least until someone almost fell in. We followed a trail that was in my opinion to close to the deep end of the pond but my sister brushed it off as me being paranoid and telling me I don't have a sense of adventure.
She was very close to falling in. She was lucky and got a hold of a branch before slidding all the way down in to the pond.

Mud everywhere or at least everywhere on her.

We made it to our last stop not to long after Paris. We had some famous Bear Lake rasberry shakes. Yummy!
After a quick swim we had a belated b-day dinner for Sio.

She turned 23 a week before coming up.
