life around here

A fast update on life around here:

Library:

Korbin checks out Star Wars books from the school library and Maddie checks out

a book about dogs. She really wants one and Santa didn't fill this request. I'm just waiting for her full birthday list. With all her hints (and with Jason's help) I'm safely assuming it's going to look something like this

1) a real dog

Jason and I have a deal if he can find a pure bred golden retriever for $10 he can bring one home. We'll see what happens. Korbin's opinion: It's never going to happen.

Surgery:

G-Mary 1st surgery went well. She is still recovering at the hospital. She's ok just very tired. She might come home tomorrow.

Dairy and Ankle:

Maddie's doctor called with her allergy test result. She can't have dairy products for two weeks. Her doctor believes that milk is what is causing her stomach aches. She did great with her new diet last week but this week she has been a bit crabby about the whole thing. She still has a couple of extra weeks before the actual visit with an allegiest. Last night at pack meeting she jumped off the stage and twisted her ankle. She was fine until we had to leave then she began to cry. Her ankle was a bit swollen. After a little pain reliever and a sleepless night for me(her bed is not comfortable) and not enough tears for an ER visit we waited until this morning to see a doctor, she has a light sprain. Nothing major just limps a little when she has shoes on or if she doesn't want to do something. She's a tuff little girl.
