Back in school! It's crazy to think we're parents of a 6th grader and a 4th grader.
Korbin is loving his class and both of his teachers this year. He's in a classroom with teachers that team teach. Changing teachers every two/three days doesn't seem to phase him which is a good sign he'll be prepared for jr. high next year. On the first day his teacher mentioned they'll be doing a lot of PE so they might want to start wearing deodorant. This comment made me laugh.
He has made some new friends in class which is great since he was a little worried over the summer because his good buds weren't going to be in the same class as him this year. Now, he has new and old friends to hang out with. 6th grade brings a lot of work we've learned. One essay due every week, homework and other stuff thru out the year. 6th grade also has brought a little attitude into our home. Lucky for Korbin he has parents that have no patience and have no problem telling him to knock it off. Love that kid! He's responsible and mellow most of time.
Madison wanted the same teacher Korbin had when he was in 4th grade. She was happy when she found out her wish had come true. Her wish got even better when she found out how many friends she knew in her class. She loves being a reading buddy in a Kindergarten class this year too. She likes her teacher and sitting by her friends. She dislikes the hallway her classroom is in because everything echo's. Phew, last year she was so intimidated by this hallway that I'm glad the echo is the only thing that's bugging her. Love this girl! She's funny and makes us laugh. Her body is definitely getting stronger from tumbling. She can do more push ups then 2 of the member of our family, I'm not mentioning any names. It's kinda sad but true.
